Background:
Svitanok was founded in May 2023 by a passionate group of Ukrainians who had been leading the protest movement in New York City since February 2022. When the full-scale invasion began, thousands gathered in Times Square to protest against Russia’s aggression, igniting a new wave of activism among those who have witnessed the war’s impact firsthand. Our organization is focused on creating and implementing impactful informational campaigns to combat the challenges posed by Russian aggression in the evolving landscape of hybrid warfare.

Our mission is to provide strong support for Ukraine within the United States, combat Russian disinformation, and unite the Ukrainian diaspora globally. We are a platform that empowers talented Ukrainians and their allies to leverage their expertise in the ongoing informational war waged by Russia, transforming these efforts into a powerful, nationwide force capable of making a difference.
