ONGOING PROJECTS
Congressional Action for Ukrainian Immigration Stability

This project is Svitanok’s targeted advocacy to help move two key bipartisan bills that would give Ukrainians in the U.S. real, lawful stability beyond temporary parole.
The Protecting Our Guests During Hostilities in Ukraine Act (H.R. 2118 / S. 696) would grant temporary Ukrainian guest status to people who arrived through Uniting for Ukraine, with work authorization tied to that status, and it would remain in place until the U.S. determines hostilities have ended (with a wind-down period afterward).
The Ukrainian Adjustment Act of 2025 (H.R. 3104) would offer eligible Ukrainians a vetted path to lawful permanent residency.
We fight for this because advocating for Ukraine must also mean protecting Ukrainian families here, many of them women and children who fled the war and now face painful uncertainty while actively contributing to US economy and workforce. This project also relies on community support to sustain outreach, grow co-sponsorship, and help accelerate progress in Congress.

BACKGROUND
When the full-scale invasion began, thousands gathered in Times Square to protest against Russia’s aggression, igniting a new wave of activism among those who have witnessed the war’s impact firsthand. Svitanok was founded in May 2023 by a passionate group of Ukrainians who had been leading the Ukrainian protest movement in New York City since February 2022.
MISSION
Our mission is to provide strong support for Ukraine within the United States, combat Russian disinformation, and unite the Ukrainian diaspora globally. We are a platform that empowers talented Ukrainians and their allies to leverage their expertise in the ongoing informational war waged by Russia, transforming these efforts into a powerful, nationwide force capable of making a difference.
