Who we are
Svitanok is a Ukrainian-American organization based in New York that focuses on ensuring United States support for Ukraine in the American public and behind the closed doors in Washington, D.C.
Our informational and enlightenment work includes organizing research & media campaigns, protests, rallies, and events for Americans and Ukrainian refugees in USA.

Our mission is to raise awareness, mobilize support, and foster solidarity for Ukraine. We seek to inspire action through protests, performances, events and rallies, build partnerships with allies, and educate the general public about Ukraine.
Key Achievements

organized over 150 protests and rallies in NYC & Washington, DC since Feb 24, 2022, speaking out about the war in Ukraine and it’s consequences;
run large events in New York with over 2,000 participants;

run monthly community meetings to understand the needs and vision of the Ukrainians in New York and our allies;

took part in UN panel discussions & initiatives to advocate for Human Rights and rebuilding efforts in Ukraine;
engaged with elected officials in grassroots advocacy campaigns around Ukraine’s path to victory;
produced 20+ studies on various subjects of the war in Ukraine & its consequences, enlightening the public on the subject and countering Russian disinformation campaigns.
Svitanok is a 100% volunteer run nonprofit that was founded by a group of young, ambitious Ukrainians who dream of a bright future for our homeland.
